hey that new 'transplants' album is pretty good. tim armstrong of rancid fame has a new project, from what i gather. kinda like a hip hop punk album almost. the song 'tall cans in the air' is one of those anthem songs with the chorus urging you to put your 'tall cans in the air (fuck you)' but a lot of the slang and terms they use are hip hop influenced. their first single thats getting radio play is 'diamonds and guns'. it has this piano ditty looping in the background and it almost sounds like a sample lifted from 'moonlight sonata'. this song kinda sounds gorillaz-ish.

so anyways, i met some dude yesterday that was telling me he could get E's for $8. he gets it from his old high school volleyball coach. the coach would go to clubs so this dude decided to take coach to his first rave. the coach was so grateful he gave the dude a lifelong fixed price of 8 bucks, $12 less than street value. while i admit this was an interesting story, i was kinda disturbed by how proud this kid was about his cheap e hook. crazy little kids nowadays.
