im finally gonna change my timing belt this weekend. and if im gonna do that, the smart thing to do is also change my water pump, tensioners, balance shaft belt, pulleys, belts, bells and whistles. this all falls under 'preventive maintenance.' cuz if i dont do it now, ill have to change all that other stuff in another 15,000 miles or so, so might as well pay for the labor once.

too bad it's gonna cost me $550, an arm, a leg, and my first-born.

too bad i have no choice but to charge it on my credit card.

too bad my credit card debt is slowly growing again.

but hey, i won't have to worry about my car for another 90,000 miles.

by my estimates, 90k miles from now will be 2010 and ill be driving the brand new DaimlerChryslerHyundai H4 convertible. a former miss korea will be riding in the passenger seat and ill be bumping the new weezer purple album. still trying to quit cigarettes, ill be puffing on a joint to battle my nicotine cravings since marijuana will by then be legal. ill have president warren beatty to thank for the freshly paved highways im driving on and curse all the drivers on the road still driving gas-guzzling, exhaust-fuming, air-polluting vehicles. still nursing a hangover from 2008 (when korea placed second in the FIFA world cup in germany), ill drive to boshingnoya and get a combo #4: spicy gang-ah-jee bowl with kimchi and a coke.
