today

happy hour with jean and the irvine crew over at claim jumpers after work.


then we all vegged in front of her 36" sony wega tv watching cable.


we watched driven on vh1. watching briteny spears' smalltown roots reminded me


of 1986-1987,
when i was in 2nd grade and my brother was in kindergarten
and we lived in steven's point, wisconsin

in a city so small maps didnt have it in 'em.

he drew something and sent it to disney
and it was shown on tv.
cuz disney would show artwork
sent in by kids all around the world
and it showed his work with
'johan choi
age 5
stevens point, wisconsin'
written
at the bottom.

we lived in such a small town that they even printed a blurb in the local paper,
something about 'local 5 year old boy has artwork featured on disney cable channel'
or something like that.

i wish i could find that article.
